Clarksville,TN
Jan. 21st to 26th, 2024

Around 2 p.m. on Dec. 9, the lives of residents in Clarksville, TN were changed forever as an EF-3 tornado with winds of 150 miles per hour made its path through TN and KY killing seven, four of those in Clarksville, including a 10-year old boy.

Our CCOB Calvary Relief team served in Clarksville from Jan. 21st through 26th helping those affected by this horrific storm. The weather was freezing cold and raining every day but that didn't stop them from being there for those that lost so much.  Please see attached writeup from one of our teammates sharing what the week was like and how God always moves in spite of the conditions or difficulties.

"Here am I. Send me!"  Isaiah 6:8

It truly is a blessing each time we step out to serve those hurting in the midst of tragedy. As teammates talked with homeowners, they heard about how God miraculously saved some of them - this one family's home totally collapsed on them.  Afterward, their grandson was standing on top of all the rubble and the rest of the family was able to crawl out from under the walls and debris that was on top of them - totally safe and unharmed.  They cried as they shared this experience knowing God had spared them.  This and so many other stories show God's hand in the midst of these tragedies.  Only by being there with them are we able to get a glimpse of God's power and love.  It truly is a blessing to be able to serve in this way
