Dec. 1st - 12th, 2024
Because of the vast amount of damage & destruction by Hurricane Helene, which affected thousands of lives, our Calvary Relief team re-deployed back to Asheville, NC on Dec. 1st. We were able to follow up with people we had met the month before & minister to so many others. Again, God showed Himself powerful & we were privileged to be there to be used by Him.
Although it’s so hard to put in words, God knows - here are some of the highlights:
- sharing the Gospel & seeing people turn over their lives to the Lord
- people in tears thanking us for being there for them & helping them
- bonds we share with each other & the homeowners
- spending time w/GiGi Graham & getting to know her
- follow-up visits with people we met last trip
- visiting Calvary Chapel Asheville
- staying at 'The Cove' so peaceful and beautiful!
Many heartaches & tragedies - one family survived but their close friend had lost 11 family members. Others were stranded for weeks without water or elec. just trying to survive. Mudslides took so many homes and lives. We were thankful to be there to listen & pray with these people - we know God had brought us there to offer His hope & comfort.
