Hurricane Laura
Hurricane Laura made landfall Aug. 27th 2020 pummeling coastal areas with heavy rains and destructive winds. This hurricane was one of the fastest and strongest in Gulf history—quickly ratcheting up to wind speeds of 150 mph—before hitting Louisiana. DeQuincy, LA was hard-hit with damaged buildings, trees toppled and no electricity for weeks.
CCOB's Calvary Relief Disaster Response Ministry had the privilege of deploying with Samaritan’s Purse (SP) and the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (BGEA RRT) to DeQuincy, LA from Sept. 12th through Sept. 19th. Amidst all the devastation and destruction, God worked powerfully! To Him be the glory!
