March 9th - 16th, 2025
Once again our Calvary Relief team served with Samaritan's Purse (SP) and Billy Graham Rapid Response Team. As SP sifted through the ashes to recover special personal items, the chaplains met with homeowners hearing heart-wrenching stories, many just barely getting out as fires approached, others sharing about neighbors who died, & many returning to their homes the next day only to find ashes and everything they owned gone!
God used our teams to lead 14 people to the Lord this week! To see their countenance change right before our eyes was truly a miracle - not only would they be rebuilding a new home, they now had a new life with Jesus.
Each time we go, God shows us more & more, and we come back deeply touched by the experience. One special miracle was being able to reconnect with a close friend who lost her home - hadn't seen her in 15-20 years and didn't know where she was - turned out she was living in a room at church we were staying at (just upstairs)! Such a joy seeing her, praying with her and encouraging one another.
