On August  9th - 10th, 2025 Milwaukee got hit by torrential rains flooding their neighbors and destroying/damaging over 1800 homes.  You may not have heard a lot about it in the news, but to give you an idea of the damage:  Wisconsin's 211 helpline received more than 11,500 requests for flood-related services in the days following the Aug. 9-10 torrential rain. Roughly 85% — came from Milwaukee County.  There were more than 4,000 reports of structural damage and close to 8,000 reports of utility disruptions.
